29th Annual Mitten Tree at Choffin Career and Technical Center

In keeping with the spirit of Christmas, “It is better to give than to receive,” Choffin Career and Technical Center is inviting the public to join us in a very special project.

The Information Technology Tech Prep program is collecting new children’s mittens or gloves.  These mittens and gloves will be donated to the Mahoning County Children Services Board who will distribute them to the children in the area.

Over the last 28 years, Choffin has donated over 5,082 items.  With your help, we want to continue this tradition of generous giving and hope to reach our goal of donating a total of 5,500 items.

Monetary donations can also be made toward the purchase of these items.  To do so, please contact Mrs. Hickson or Mrs. Hartz at 330-744-8748.

Donations will be accepted until Monday, December 14. Thank you for helping to keep a child warm this winter.

The tree is displayed on the 2nd floor of the Career Center.
