Choffin’s Graphic Communications Program is The Only Program in Ohio to Receive Six Accreditations!
Choffin Career & Technical Center is pleased to announce that the Graphic Communications program has been reaccredited; by the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation. The program at Choffin is the only program in the state to receive accreditation in six areas! Graphic Communications has been accredited in the following areas:
- Introduction to Graphic Communications
- Digital File Preparation
- Digital Production Printing
- Digital File Output
- Offset Press Operations
- Binding & Finishing
Students enrolled in PrintEd accredited programs, who meet specific requirements, are eligible to participate in any of the three PrintEd national online examinations: Introduction to Graphic Communications, Digital File Preparation, Offset Press Operations. Those individuals who attain sufficient scores will be certified in those specific areas.
Choffin Career & Technical Center’s Graphic Communications program is listed on the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation website at www.gaerf.org as a nationally accredited institutions recognized by the graphic communications industry.
In the Graphic Communications program creativity is endless. Students learn computerized desktop publishing using page layout software programs, image editing programs, scanning and importing clip art and photograph images to create professional brochures, business cards, etc. Press operation, digital press operation and bindery & finishing are major skills introduced in this course, printing spot colors to full color projects. Students also learn digital photography, 35mm photography, screen-printing and so much more!
